Scripture Reading
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Reflection
Words are not neutral — they either construct or corrode. Paul invites us to treat every conversation as an opportunity to extend grace to the listener. This is not flattery or empty positivity but the discipline of asking, before speaking, whether these words will leave the other person more whole. Practice that question today and notice how it changes what you say.
Prayer for Today
I feel certain that God called me to reconcile with someone I had been seeing. Through much prayer, I decided to reach out to him and God graciously blessed, mended and deepened our connection. I pray for guidance now as I don't know whether I should
continue to pursue a romantic relationship with this person. He has deep emotional and psychological barriers and I fear I will get hurt if I continue to see him and my feelings deepen. I am struggling to understand God's
timing and purpose for me in this situation. Thank you for your prayers!
