Scripture Reading

1 Peter 5:7

...casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Reflection
The word "casting" suggests an active, decisive act — not a gradual letting go but a deliberate throw. We are not asked to manage our anxieties but to throw them onto someone who can hold them. The reason is not our strength but his care: he cares for you, personally, specifically, now. What have you been holding that you were meant to throw?
Prayer for Today
Jesus, my Savior, You came down to earth to save me and told me to have faith in You. You said that with faith I can even say to the mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done. My mind knows that if I believe, trust and have faith in You, I will receive whatever I ask for in Your holy name. I believe in You, Jesus. I believe that You are Lord. You are the God Most High. You are the Creator of Heaven and Earth. Erase my doubt, Jesus. Take it all away. Help my unbelief. I deliver myself into Your righteous hands. Amen.

Amen.
