Scripture Reading
Luke 1:38
And Mary said, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
Reflection
In the space of a conversation with an angel, Mary's "yes" changed the course of history. The Annunciation is the moment the eternal Word chose to enter creation through a willing human heart. Her fiat — "let it be" — is the model of all Christian discipleship: receiving what God offers, trusting what we do not yet understand, and making space for the holy to dwell. What is God asking for your "yes" today?
Prayer for Today
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy
towards us and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Amen.
