Genesis 28:16-17
When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it." He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."
Reflection
Jacob's discovery is not that God has arrived at Bethel but that God was always already there and he had not perceived it. "I was not aware of it" — how many times do we pass through holy ground without pausing to notice? The ordinary places of our lives — kitchens, commutes, bedside conversations — may be gates of heaven. Awaken today to the presence of God in the unremarkable.
Prayer for Today
Father God I asked and I thank you for a money miracle.
I ask for Grace to receive money to pay down on a nice car. Bless me with a supervisor job, bless my business and I pray thank you.
