Scripture Reading

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those with any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Reflection
God is described here not merely as a God who gives comfort but as the God of all comfort — the very source from which every genuine consolation ultimately flows. And the remarkable thing Paul adds is that received comfort does not stay with us; it becomes the capacity to comfort others. Our wounds, once tended by God, become the instruments of his care for others. The ministry of comfort passes through the healed.
Prayer for Today
Lord God,
It's hard not to dwell on my discomfort and pain so help me get back my focus on you. Enlighten me and make me a faithful follower despite of my condition.
Help me put my hope in you. Walk closely beside me while I go through the process of healing and recovery. Remind me that nothing is impossible with your power. Moreover, help me stay faithful to you.
Amen.

Amen.
