Scripture Reading
2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
Reflection
Paul's thorn was not removed despite earnest prayer — and yet it became the very site of a revelation about grace. This is a scandalous reversal: weakness is not merely tolerated but becomes the location of divine power. God does not always change our circumstances; sometimes he reveals himself within them. Whatever chronic limitation you carry — physical, relational, emotional — it may be the very place his grace shines most clearly.
Prayer for Today
Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Amen.
