Saint of the Day
St. Gregory the Great

St. Gregory the Great (540–604) was a monk who became Pope and transformed the medieval Church through his tireless service, pastoral writings, and humility. He called himself "servant of the servants of God."

Scripture Reading

Matthew 20:26-28

"It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Reflection
St. Gregory the Great, who led the Church during one of history's most turbulent periods, called himself "servant of the servants of God" — and meant it. He sold his possessions, cared for the poor, and reformed the Church through humility rather than force. Leadership that serves is not a management strategy; it is the shape of the life of Christ.
Prayer for Today
O Lord, Mighty in Power, Your Word says that the weapons given to us have the divine power to demolish strongholds. We pray that every stronghold that has risen up against the church shall be demolished in Jesus' name. We demolish every unfamiliar spirit that aims to hinder church growth. We pray for church growth. We pray that if we call to You, You will show us the hidden things about our churches that we did not know. Amen.

Amen.
