Scripture Reading

Psalm 104:24-25

How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number — living things both large and small.
Reflection
The psalmist is overcome with wonder at the sheer profusion of creation — vast seas, creatures beyond counting, a world so full of life and variety that it can only be a work of inexhaustible wisdom and joy. We who live in creation are surrounded by a continuous sermon about God's character. Take time today to really notice something — a tree, a bird, the texture of the sky — and let it lead you to worship.
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Amen.
