Colossians 3:1-2
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Reflection
The imperative to seek and set our minds is not escapism — it is reorientation. Those who have been raised with Christ have a new center of gravity: the place where Christ reigns. When the daily anxieties and ambitions of earth fill our whole field of vision, we lose perspective and lose peace. Lifting our gaze above does not make us useless on earth — it makes us useful in a different way.
Prayer for Today
Dear Heavenly Father, I your servant seek your help, as I trust and believe that that You love the prosperity of Your children. As Your loving Son JESUS have said ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open, therefore
Father please grant me the ability to concentrate at work and let Holy Spirit in me, guide, open my mind and show me the solutions that I need in achieving my task at work. Lord, I admit that I have been complacence, due
to distraction from my worries from my trouble and difficulties in my finances. Please forgive me, I have sinned and have mercy on me. Strengthen me, clear the clutter in my mind, give me the energy, and let the Holy Spirit
be my guide and light so that I will be able to concentrate and complete all my task. Take away all the fear, weaknesses, negative thoughts from me and shield me always with Your armour. Only by Your assistance, I am able
to achieve my goals, and be a success at my work. Father, I am Your handmade from the time I was formed in my mother's womb, take control of my life, grant me Your Wisdom and knowledge. Let me Lord, be a blessing to everyone
I work with and all that I come contact with. Lord, I truly trust and believe that You are with me always and You will command You angels and Your Spirit within me to help me make this change and to let me shine in my through
my works and at work again. In JESUS name Lord, I make this request to You, and I truly believe that You have changed me. AMEN.
