Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Reflection
Jesus does not offer a command but an invitation to look — at birds, at lilies, at the evidence already written into creation that the Father provides. The argument moves from lesser to greater: if God clothes the grass, how much more will he care for you? Anxiety feeds on what we do not have; trust feeds on what God has already done.
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, You know what I need before I even ask and You know how ignorant I am. Please release me from these anxious thoughts and help me see Your gifts. Aid me in reaffirming my faith so that I can serve You as You first intended. In Your Name,
