Scripture Reading

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Reflection
The antidote to anxiety is not resolution of the situation but prayer with thanksgiving. Paul does not promise that the problem will be solved — he promises that God's peace will stand guard over your heart and mind like a sentinel at a gate. This peace surpasses understanding, meaning it defies logical explanation: you may not understand why you feel peaceful, only that you do. Turn your anxiety into prayer today, and experience the inexplicable guard.
Prayer for Today
I can never stop thanking the Almighty God for blessing my life with such a wonderful person like you. May the good Lord continue to shower you with happiness, good fortune, prosperity and good health all the days of your life, my dear. Happy birthday!

Amen.
