Strength for the Weary

Scripture Reading

Isaiah 40:31

But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Reflection
Isaiah's promise moves from the spectacular to the ordinary: first soaring on eagle wings, then running, then simply walking without fainting. The greatest test of faith is often not the dramatic crisis but the long, unglamorous faithfulness of ordinary days. God promises strength for the whole journey — not just the mountaintop moments but the long plodding stretches in between. Wait on him today, and receive fresh strength for whatever kind of day this is.
Prayer for Today
Lord, You are the wind in my sails You guide me as I steer and find direction. You give me the strength to keep on going. You watch over me as I navigate stormy seas. You are the harbour where I stop for rest. You are my encourager when I lose hope. You are the lighthouse that keeps my path safe. You are with me always. Thank you. Amen.

Amen.
