Ephesians 1:13-14
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
Reflection
Before Pentecost arrives, the promise of the Spirit is already given and guaranteed. The Holy Spirit dwelling within us is God's own seal of ownership and his down payment on the inheritance to come — a deposit guaranteeing the fullness that is promised. You are not a probationer hoping to earn your place; you are already sealed, claimed, and guaranteed by the God who does not break his promises. Live from that security.

Creator God, you who love us more than we can know,
Who chose us from the very beginning to be family ,
