Scripture Reading

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Reflection
The prophet Micah distills the entire law into three clauses: act justly, love mercy, walk humbly. The sequence is important — humility before God is the root from which genuine justice and mercy grow. Without it, our efforts at doing good can become about us. Today, let the walk be quiet and close, one step at a time beside the One who calls us.
