Scripture Reading

Exodus 6:6-7a

"Therefore, say to the Israelites: 'I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.'"
Reflection
"O Lord of Might" — the second O Antiphon — recalls the God who shattered Pharaoh's chains and made slaves into a people. That same outstretched arm will reach into a manger, into Gethsemane, into a tomb. The liberation won at Exodus was a preview of the deeper freedom Christ came to bring: rescue not from an earthly empire but from sin, fear, and death itself.
Prayer for Today
Holy Spirit, our Living Hope, we long for Your glory and power. Our hearts long to be overcome by Your presence. Like a mighty rushing wind, fill this place. Baptize us with Your fire. Spirit of truth, teach us all things and bring to remembrance the
words of Jesus. Guide us into all truth. Give us power in our weakness to speak the Word of God with boldness. Amen.

Amen.
