Scripture Reading

Revelation 22:20

He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Reflection
Advent begins with the oldest prayer of the Church: "Come, Lord Jesus." These three words contain the entire posture of Advent — hope that leans forward, faith that expects, love that longs. The liturgical year begins not with what we have accomplished but with what we await. We are a people defined by longing. In this holy season of waiting and watching, let the prayer of the final page of Scripture be the prayer of your heart: Maranatha — Come, Lord.
Prayer for Today
Dear Jesus, you are the hope in our messy world. This Advent, help us slow down, listen to your voice, and focus on what's really important. We place our hope in you as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Christmas. Amen.

Amen.
