Lamentations 3:22-24

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
Reflection
Ordinary time begins not with fanfare but with faithfulness — the quiet, daily mercies that renew us whether we notice them or not. The writer of Lamentations found this hope in the ash of destruction; how much more can we find it in the ordinary dawn. Each morning is a fresh appointment with a God who has never stopped being faithful.
Prayer for Today
Psalms 102 verse 13 says: "You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come. Oh Lord, arise and show me mercy, for it is time for me to experience your favour in name of Jesus."
