Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it."
Reflection
Jacob was sleeping on a stone in the middle of nowhere when he encountered God. He did not go to a temple or prepare himself — he simply woke up. The ordinary places of our lives — the commute, the kitchen, the middle of the night — are also places where God is present and active. The only question is whether we are paying attention.
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, please bring me together with the man I would be the best partner with to live in your Love. Help us unite so we can keep each other safe and positive in mind and spirit. Help me forgive past experiences with men and create love in my heart and mind for men who you indeed created in love. Put Your Hand on my future spouse and lead him to me and help him to lovingly guide me and my loved ones ever closer to you oh God
