Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Reflection
The instruction not to lean on our own understanding is not anti-intellectual — it is anti-idolatry. Our understanding is limited; God's is not. When we reach the edge of what we can see and comprehend, trust is not the absence of thinking — it is the decision to hand the map to someone who can see the whole territory.
Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance. Forgive me for getting ahead of Your plans, and help me know when to stop and listen for Your direction. Your ways are perfect, Lord. Thank You for offering gentle grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
