Scripture Reading

Psalm 133:1

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!
Reflection
This tiny psalm packs a huge truth: unity among God's people is not just nice but beautiful, not just useful but anointed. The image of precious oil and refreshing dew conveys abundance and life. Where there is genuine unity — not uniformity, but the unity of shared love and purpose — God commands his blessing. Pray for your community of faith today: for the grace to forgive, to listen, to prefer one another, and to discover how good and pleasant this life together can be.
Prayer for Today
Lord,
be close to your servants
who move into this home (today)
and ask for your blessing.

Be their shelter when they are at home,
their companion when they are away,
and their welcome guest when they return.
And at last receive them
into the dwelling place you have prepared for them
in your Father's house,
where you live for ever and ever. R. Amen.

Amen.
