Scripture Reading

John 20:27-29

Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.' Thomas answered him, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus said to him, 'Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.'
Reflection
Thomas is often remembered for his doubt, but his response when he encountered the risen Christ was one of the most profound confessions in all of Scripture: 'My Lord and my God.' Honest doubt, brought to Jesus, can lead to deep faith. Christ did not condemn Thomas for needing to see — he met him exactly where he was. If you have wrestled with doubt, you are in good company, and the risen Christ is not afraid of your questions.
Prayer for Today
Lord Jesus,

Teach us to be the servants you have called us to be. Help us to walk in humility, and to stand firm in our faith no matter how difficult the road becomes. Thank you that because of you we will only ever know the shadow of death- death will never have victory over our lives! Thank you for your steadfast love and faithfulness to my family and me. In Your Name we pray,

Amen.

Amen.
