He Satisfies the Hungry

Scripture Reading

Psalm 107:8-9

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Reflection
The psalms are honest about hunger — physical, spiritual, relational — and equally honest that God is the one who fills. Hunger is not a sign of failure but an invitation: it draws us toward the One who alone can satisfy. As the harvest season deepens and tables fill, let abundance itself become an act of worship. And in seasons when our tables feel empty, remember: He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus,
I come to you because I desperately need a new job.

Surely you are the Lord of the Impossible.
I know that no task is too big for you.
I know that you can open the windows
of heaven and have your blessings poured.

Lord, I need a job

I want a job where I can grow.
A job where the working conditions are good.
A job with a nice boss and colleagues.
A job with a good salary and benefits

I trust that you will open a door
for me and help me find a suitable job.

In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Amen.
